Our First Half of 2018 Report

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF)……we love full timing! We enjoy  not knowing what lies next, finding places to live in the forest or in the dessert  (especially off grid), and exploring  so many places in this great country of ours.

After spending Christmas with our sons and their family in San Diego, CA, we brought the New Year in at Seal Beach , CA . We  continued to travel the south west with our friends Virgil and Delores until we parted ways on March 15th.

We have been in the desert/ southwest since October 2017 when we arrived in Albuquerque, NM. So for the last eight months we have meandered  9564 miles just from Seal Beach.

We traveled through 5 states, and lived in 24 different places. The last 31 days  straight have been totally off grid, using solar. We have not needed the generator since January in Quartzsite.

Before you read our stats, so what’s next for the Second -Half of 2018?

After visiting Heber City/ Salt Lake, we will travel north through the middle of Idaho, then west to Seattle, Olympic Peninsula, down the coast of Washington,  to Portland, and the coast of Oregon.

Then we will bee-line east to Indiana the 1st week of August, back mid-west to Minnesota,  then head south to Eastpoint, Fl, then to Savannah/Augusta mid to late October. We will probably winter in Key West this year.
