We hope this post finds you well on this day of giving thanks. I have not made many posts lately, due to moving tons of data off my computer so I can start uploading pictures again.
But we are well, we met up with our friends Virgil and Delores in Alamogordo,NM almost 2 weeks ago and we are traveling the southwest together this winter and spring.
Today, we have been invited to Delores’ sisters’ granddaughters’ house for Thanksgiving. She lives by Tuscon and we are thankful and looking forward to breaking bread with their family.
As we reflect on this day, (and most days) we are thankful for many things. Our health, each other, the support of our grown children, our friends, our military and our country.
We miss being with our family and really miss our grand children. We have always had a big traditional holiday gathering with our family. Not having this right now has been our biggest adjustment while on the road. But we know, after we travel the west this year, next year we will be home for the holidays. Just like a military deployment.
We love our nomadic lifestyle, exploring this great country of ours, and we realize we are lucky to be able to see and do the things we are doing.
So we will power through, eat lots of turkey, and watch the struggling Giants try to win a game.
