LaConner, WA Thousand Trails RV Resort
We went to the small harbor town of LaConner, just a few miles from our house. At high noon, we stationed our chairs along side the street to watch their Independence Day parade.
I’ve been in a lot of parades, remember, “Shriner’s Love Parades”! This was a great local parade honoring our country, our military, our first responders, and most importantly the people. Probably one of the shortest parades ever, but we really enjoyed it.
After the parade we walked down the boardwalk that spanned the entire length of main street. As we were looking out over the harbor we watched a bald eagle swoop down to the water with its talons extended to nab a fish, only to change its mind at the last second just above the water. Kind of cool.
Went to a local brew house, had a few lagers, a salad, cup of chowder, and a 10 inch wood fired pizza. Not bad at all. After ducking in and out of some more shops we headed back home for the day.
Happy Birthday America and God Bless you.
