We left New Hampshire, about 1015, and had a nice leisurely drive to Wells, ME. We stopped at the Visitors Welcome center like we always do and loaded up on useless maps and brochures. Why useless? We always get them, they look interesting at the time, we get home and look at them, then they get buried in the BFT until we clean it out.
Nice RV park, Moody Beach, in Thousand Trails. The Maine Diner has been around for thirty years and was featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, back in 2010. It is a family owned business that serves very good food. We had to have the Lobster Casserole and a cup of chowder, Boy it was good. We drove the coast for a little, stopped at an Antique Mall, so Ann Marie can look for her silver spoons to make rings. She found a few, so it was a good stop. We stopped at a beach, and sat on a bench, and overlooked the expansive beach, as the tide was out. The seagulls were at their best getting the clams, and there were a couple of dogs having fun in the surf. The temp was 73, sunny, and breezy. Not quite Florida weather, we were in our jeans and had a light jacket.
