The place the Henry Ford Built.
Dearborn, MI |
We went to the museum (so I could make my wife happy, happy :).
In short the museum was terrific. Not just old cars, but a portion of American History, with Airplanes, Trains, Furniture, and People’s rights. One could send a couple of days there, and we will return ! Driving through Detroit to Dearborn I was awestruck with all the Ford manufacturing buildings, test tracks, (which are hidden from view…) and all the employee parking lots, filled with not just Fords, but they dominated in numbers. Ann Marie contacted her old boss who is now the director of sales at the Cobo center on the river in downtown Detroit. It’s a massive building with over 1,000,000 ft. of space. We couldn’t get together with him but he gave us some recommendations of places to go and one of which was the Polish village in downtown Pole Town. Yes the pole’s got a place named after them and named it Pole Town how unique.
