Yep….not boots, not Trojans, but Goodyears! While we only had 4+ years and about 25k miles on our current shoes, I wanted new soles before we head north. I was able to negotiate the price down to $310 plus install/balance per tire ( they wanted 356 ea). With the help of my BIL Tom, we took two tires off the Rv at a time and had Pep Boys 1/2 mile down the street mount them. They struggled breaking down those (still good) 14 ply LT tires, it took four men on the machine to get them off the rim. But they did it. I kept the best unmounted tire and will tote that around the country as a spare to the spare (until the weight police catch up to me!) Thanks to my boys who bought this bad ass Dewalt 20v Impact Driver. Highly recommend this for everyone’s toolbox. Made short work of the task. Along with hydraulic legs to lift the Rv at a push of a button…. The new tires have a date code of 0817! They are only three weeks old and you can still smell the rubber tree!!
