Raleigh, N.C. Capital Building Raleigh, NC
|
Raleigh, NC
G: This building was originally built in 1792 and burned down some 40 years later and rebuilt and stands in the same location . Only three rooms in the entire building if ever been remodeled. It is very original to include the wavy pane windows on the exterior, and the furniture that they used in the state rooms in the chambers are all still there.
AM: I enjoyed walking thru the capital. Keeping all of the original items in the rooms that you can visit gives a modern person a glimpse into the past. It is amazing the original glass panes are there. I love the wavy glass. It will be fun as we continue on our journey to stop in as many capital cities as we can and tour them.
