AM: What an adventure today. With the torrential downpours we have had the past few days everything is soaked and soggy. So the end result is we are in 2-3 inches of standing water. G said no worries, the BFT will pull us out. The rear axles of the truck were bogged down, the ground was like quicksand. Luckily we have a tow strap with us and it took just a little effort and we were out with a little help from our neighbor.
Our next stop is Merritt Island, FL.
We are 100 feet from the shore and are positioned to be able to see the launches from Cape Canaveral. This is a little known gem of a place to stay for the next month. So we continued with our new tradition with going to dinner to a local restaurant, the Causeway Diner. Met at the door by a Jets fan and served by Patriots fan! Had a very good meal and we will be back.
The weather looks like it will finally stop raining and we can dry out tomorrow. Looking forward to the Sun!!! It is unfortunate that we will not be able to go to Key West this year but that is okay. We have next year!
