Missouri Rally We Are Here!
Saint Charles, MO |
When we arrived many of the Cedar Creek family were there sitting under an awning watching (and grading) as we pulled into our RV parking spot. We pulled in, parked, set-up, without any problems (like usual). So we did not provide a “show” to our friends. Pat and Ellen do not live far away and they did a super job hosting our Rally. Each night we sat around in front of their Creek, and Pat gave us a written test on facts and things to know about St Louis. We gave him a hard time about being tested, and he responded in kind (LOL). Also each night they provided the group a “taste of St Louis”. From home made ice cream, to Fritz’s root beer, and of course the ever popular St Louis, gooey butter cake…. man that was good stuff…..
We all went for lunch at SugarFire BBQ, and wow was that good. On the morning of September 11th, we all gathered (and sere standing) at the flag pole. Pat guided us through the tragic events of 15 years ago on that fateful day. We remembered all those that had fallen, and fought for us, prayed, and had a moment of silence to reflect. On the last night, we had potluck dinner in the clubhouse, there was a ton of good tasting food and allot of good chatter. We really enjoyed ourselves hanging out with “Creekers”. It was a great rally!.
