Home of the Wings

Home of the Wings
Buffalo, NY
Buffalo, NY We followed our stomachs to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, where the buffalo chicken wing took flight in 1964. The Holy Grail of buffalo chicken wings, where it all started, wow, they met our expectations. The walls and ceilings are covered with real Motorcycles, license plates, and cool stuff. Lots of memorabilia every where.

We ordered a Bucket of wings (44) and ate ourselves silly. We also had wedge fries, mini fried tacos, batter fried veggies and beer to wash it all down. Good stuff! Danny, Owen, Lucy, and myself went to Dwyer Stadium, the home of the Batavia Muckdogs, a single A team associated with the Marlins. Nice small stadium stadium with max crowd capacity of 2500, of which there where 200 of us there. We sat behind their dugout next to a couple of season ticket holders who were a hoot. Lots of fun, the kids enjoyed it, and when the game at 9 innings at zip-zip, it was time to go……. Beautiful night for a ballgame. Ann Marie and Allison stayed back at the RV and enjoyed leftovers from the Anchor Bar along with some awesome Mango Margaritas.
