Day 2 in the The Old City

Day 2 in the The Old City
Quebec City, Canada
Quebec City, Canada G: We decided to drive north to the city of Levis, park the BFT, and take a ferry across the river to Quebec. We enjoyed walking around the walled city. Narrow alleyways and cobblestone streets are a 17th and 18th-century step back into time and are filled with shops, cafes, and musicians, just a cool atmosphere and it is amazing. The Chāteau Frontenac hotel was majestic just like all the pictures you see. We sailed on an afternoon boat south on the St. Lawrence River to admire the water falls and dramatic setting of the only walled city north of Mexico over looking the river. AM: Today was a day for good luck regarding the weather. It seemed like we missed the different bursts of rain in between all of our sightseeing. The rain stopped as we took the ferry across the river. We walked to the Museum and toured it. I was not impressed with the exhibitions they had there. One was a very slanted liberal view of events that have happened around the world. The interviews, video clips and dialogues presented showed each city/country very negatively. Responsibility for ones actions were distorted. Come on people, take responsibility for your actions and accept it. Don’t blame the government. Okay, that is my rant. George had it yesterday, this is mine today. We had a nice lunch outside. Reminiscent of cafes in Paris. Good memories.
The boat tour on the river was wonderful. We watched as the storms moved in and out and we were able to avoid them all. Our last boat ride was back across the river to pick up our truck. Unfortunately the roads going back home were in very bad shape. Lots of frost heaves and patches but we made it back safe and sound. Tomorrow is a down day to prepare for our next stop Montreal!
