CN Tower

CN Tower
Toronto, Canada
Toronto, Canada So as we drove to Toronto the city skyline was always in our windshield. The needle looking building was so prominent in the skyline looking over the other skyscrapers in the city so we knew we had to go there. We decided to get tickets to go up to the tower and also took a bus tour to catch the highlights of the city. Since we were only spending one day we wanted to do as much as possible. When we arrived in Toronto the Blue Jays were scheduled to play at 12:30 game in the stadium, which is right next to the CN Tower so were there were lots of fans and baby blue T-shirts. The Blue Jays are not doing too bad this year. First we boarded for a gray line bus tour. We learned that the city burned down twice and the waterfront was being rebuilt. They were using Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive as inspiration and the downtown area was trying to replicate and be a mini version of New York City times square. The line to see the tower was an hour and a half wait. We talked to the concierge and they suggested if you don’t want to wait and you plan on eating in the revolving restaurant, trade your tickets for an express pass. So we got the express pass to go straight to the top where we sat and ate at the restaurant for two hours. The meal was terrific and we watched the skyline go by us twice. You can see the same spot every 60 minutes and have a great meal. We really enjoyed Toronto and like other cities we’ve been to, “we will be back”.
