Another reason to be Proud to be an American

AM: So today we are off to MacDill Air Force base to see the Thunderbirds. The hundreds of thousand of people coming onto post made the entry time one hour long. They did have it set up in the most efficient way considering all the people coming in.
The airstrip had all kinds of aircraft and it was fun going thru them. Concessions were spread around so the wait time was minimal.
The patriotism you felt when the show started was unexplainable. You were proud to be an American. It is amazing to see what these pilots do to the aircraft and how fast they went. It took my breath away a number of times. I am proud to be an American!
After the show we put our chairs out in the parking lot and watched everyone else leave. The MP’s came by to check on us and we told them we were waiting for the rush to leave die down. When you are retired you can do this! A nice leisurely drive home ended another wonderful retired day!
